2009 Annual Conference 6/4-6/6 - Are you there?

Messiah College is again the place to be if you want to know what is going on in the Central Pennsylvania Conference.  Visit the United Methodist Men's table inside the gymnasium where the Laity session is being held.  There is a lot of useful information at the table including some great books that you can look through.  Members of the visioning team are regularly staffing the table and are happy to answer any questions you have or just chat about what types of men's ministries are occurring in your church.  Don't miss this great opportunity to find out more.

 

55th Annual UMMen's Rally & 1st Annual UMMen's Conference

Lewistown First UMC, again was the location for bringing men together to celebrate God's Grace, that has blessed these men for many years.  This year, there was also a follow-up conference held at Aldersgate UMC in Mechanicsburg.
 
Pastor David Adams, General Secretary, Commission UMMEN, was the Keynote Speaker. Pastor David's theme, was "Helping Men to Grow in Christ, So Others Can Know Christ"  By accepting  the challenges of the Bible to make disciples, our senior leaders can mentor the younger men.  You only need walk across the room, reach out and ask  "what is your dream for the future church?"  Give guidance and support, with kindness, and watch what the Holy Spirit will do. Programs are now available for building confidence... Remembering    you are not alone,  but with empowerment from heaven....  Now, be thankful.  Go!  Mentor!
